Some people leave the Metrix directory on the C drive, and move the resource and data directories to the LAN. That way, several people can work on the same project files. If you just move the files and don't tell Metrix where they are, Metrix will not run.
To configure Metrix to run on C: and save data to the LAN, you will need to make a few edits to your Metrix.ini file which is located in your Windows directory. Go into File Manager or Explorer and double click on the Metrix.ini file to open it.
You will make some edits as shown below:
