Option C » Measures
Q: Can I enter both the dollar and kWh amounts for in the same measure? If so, what are the consequences in the reporting? What will the final target number include?

A:

If you enter both dollar and physical unit (i.e. kWh, kW, therms) savings, you will get cost savings which combine the two. For example, if you have a simple rate (or use average rates) of $0.05/kWh, and you enter a measure with 1,000 kWh for a month PLUS $1,000 in cost savings, the total target $ savings for the month will be [$1,000 + $50].

But, Option C measures can also calculate Target cost using only the measure dollar amounts. This option can be enabled in the Measure Setup tab, by checking the 'Calculate Target $ from cost offsets only' checkbox. When enabled, Target energy will continue to be calculated from the energy values in your measure, but Target cost will only take measure cost values into consideration, and not be affected by measure energy values.
