Q: How do you model gas fired infra-red space heating and radiant floor heating?
A:
You would model both the same as any zonal heating item, except you can lower the heating setpoint if you use radiant heating. As a rule of thumb, for every F rise in mean radiant temperature you can drop the air temperature by one F. So if you heat through the floor, you can assume that for every F rise in floor surface temp you can lower the air temp 1/3 F (assuming the floor is about 1/3 of the total surface area inside the zone).
